前三點主要是在說，攝影是沒有一定的方法，無論是拍攝還是後製照片，在傳統當中發掘創新，但也不要一昧摒棄舊的觀念。在創造新意以前，必定得經過不斷的努力、經驗累積之後才能有所成。

Do it sharp—if you can’t, call it art.

清晰的影像是照片的基本，當然有時候攝影者想藉由故意的畫面模糊表達某些思想，那樣的照片往往被稱為（看不懂的）藝術。

Do fifty of them—you definitely will get a show.

如果不能把照片做大，讓照片有吸引力也是很重要的

If you don’t know what to do, look up, or down—but continue looking.

Edit it yourself.
Design it yourself.
Publish it yourself.

照片的拍攝到呈現，攝影者都必需親自來做，這是對照片的重視度，也是對觀眾的尊重。

Read Darwin, Marx, Freud, Einstein, Benjamin, McLuhan, and Barthes.

Construct your images from the edges inward.

真誠地拍攝每一張照片。

If it’s the “real world,” do it in color.

如果是以拍攝真實世界為考慮，就用彩色。

If it can be done digitally, do it.

如果能用數位，就用數位。

Be self-centered, self-involved, and generally entitled and always pushing—and damned to hell for doing it.
